Glove Care Guide
Make Your Glove Last
A Trips B glove is an investment. Treat it right and it'll play like a pro for years.
Regular care
- Wipe it down — after play, clean with a soft dry cloth to remove dirt and moisture.
- Condition sparingly — apply a small amount of glove conditioner every few weeks of regular play to keep the leather supple and prevent cracking. A little goes a long way; over-conditioning makes leather heavy and soft.
- Store it smart — cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Never leave it in a hot car or trunk.
- Keep the pocket formed — store with a ball in the pocket, or use a glove mallet to maintain shape.
Avoid
- Soaking the glove or drying wet leather with direct heat (radiators, blow dryers).
- Oils not made for glove leather (petroleum jelly, olive oil, shaving cream).
- Leaving it compressed at the bottom of a bag.
