Glove Care Guide

Make Your Glove Last

A Trips B glove is an investment. Treat it right and it'll play like a pro for years.

Regular care

  • Wipe it down — after play, clean with a soft dry cloth to remove dirt and moisture.
  • Condition sparingly — apply a small amount of glove conditioner every few weeks of regular play to keep the leather supple and prevent cracking. A little goes a long way; over-conditioning makes leather heavy and soft.
  • Store it smart — cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Never leave it in a hot car or trunk.
  • Keep the pocket formed — store with a ball in the pocket, or use a glove mallet to maintain shape.

Avoid

  • Soaking the glove or drying wet leather with direct heat (radiators, blow dryers).
  • Oils not made for glove leather (petroleum jelly, olive oil, shaving cream).
  • Leaving it compressed at the bottom of a bag.
